A Chic Social Atlanta 2018

A Chic Social Atlanta 2018
Last Thursday, I hosted A Chic Social in Atlanta, GA, the city that changed my life. When I say that, I really mean it. This city gave me independence, hustle, taught me more of my culture and allowed me to build relationships with people who have truly shaped my life.  Continuing this years discussion with a panel of boss babes that are all so very special to me, really set the mood. So blessed to have Creative Consultant Desirae Jones; Fashion Stylist and owner of Mood Vintage online boutique, Joan Goggins; certified spin instructor, Ashley Thompson; and Branding and Marketing consultant, Trunae Green. We shared honesty surrounding failures, obstacles, and trusting enough in ourselves to want to pursue our passions and dreams.  A few highlights from our conversation; we touched on the power of being able to sell yourself, and how that is more a reflection of your confidence in self. Giving push back, and deciding when you’re ready to take that risk in your career. Letting go of ego and not being ashamed of closed doors and failures. Pushing through life’s challenges and being vulnerable to step outside your comfort zone to make change for you and others. Being transparent and authentic with yourself and how you define that. Understanding that only you are YOU and that should be your main focus and source of inspiration.
The stories, connections, reunions that took place October 25, 2018 were beautiful. Bringing like-minded women from similar and different backgrounds to empower, connect and motivate one another was accomplished. I am looking forward to growing this community and bringing women together to support, educate, partner and continue conversations of sharing, growing and how it can shape and expand our future endeavors.  This evening wouldn’t have been possible without all the women who came out to attend and support the mission of A Chic Social. I’m so very thankful for my Boss Babe panel for volunteering their time, wisdom and sharing their journeys. Grateful for the awesome partnerships that allowed me to execute and bring you such an elevated and exclusive experience.
Dramatically Real donated all our awesome giveaways that were raffled. They kept me sparkling in my vegan and cruelty free red glitter lip all night long.
Thanks to our beautiful co-host, Aisha Howard, for bringing the energy and setting the tone from the moment everyone walked in.
Our healthy and tasty bites were catered by Mikes Fresh Table.
The beautiful and delicious desserts were from the one and only The Cupcake Genie.
Honored to have such great media coverage from our press partner Girl Let’s Talk Atlanta.  Lastly, all of this magic was captured by the talented photographer Isis Nishae. Check out all the full gallery by clicking the link below.
